Circuit Training

Does pilates count as my cardio? Does circuit training take the place of cardio?
I am trying to lose weight and started doing an hour of pilates. And then I do some strength training. I didn’t know if I needed more cardio. I am adding circuit training now and didn’t know if that takes the place of cardio on those days? Please advise. Thanks!
Pilates does not count as cardio because it doesn’t get your Heart Rate up fast enough. And strength training and circuit training don’t count as cardio for the same reason. You SHOULD add cardio to lose weight. Get your heart rate up to 70-85% of your maximum heart rate (maximum heart rate equals 220 minus your age. So if you’re 20, then your max heart rate is 200, and 70% of that is 140. 85% of that is 170. So you’d keep your heart rate between 140-170, for effective cardio).
